Beauty Trick

Beauty Trick

I wanted to share a beauty trick for curly hair, I find that towel drying after the shower makes it frizzy and tangled. You might have heard that you’re not supposed to rub your hair in a towel because it creates friction and can lead to split ends. I read that a cotton t-shirt will help de-frizz your hair and keep it healthy. This works well for my curly-haired sisters especially because it gently dries your hair without messing with the natural curl pattern. So copied it just for you. Here’s how to do it:

1.) Squeeze: When you finish your shower, squeeze your curls gently with a cotton tee (the thicker the more absorbent). Move along in sections, from your scalp to the ends of your hair. I would dry each section of your hair only once, since doing it more than that can cause you to lose volume.

2.) Wrap: Flip your head over and use the t-shirt like you would normally use a towel to turban-wrap your hair. An easy way is to place the bottom of the t-shirt at the nape of your neck, and slowly twist up until you reach the end. Then, just tuck the end underneath the part that’s framing your face!

3.) Wait: This step varies for each person – some people wait 5 minutes and some keep it on for up to 15. It just depends on your hair. However long you would normally keep a towel around your head will work for a t-shirt too.

4.) Style: Gently unwrap the t-shirt turban and style as you would normally. If you have any leave-in conditioners or oils, now is the time to use them.

Depending on your hair type, you might be able to skip steps 2 and 3 – some ladies just need the t-shirt to soak up the moisture and don’t need to wrap their hair at all. Just experiment and you’ll find the right solution!

Good luck curly hair sisters!!!

50

This year my older brother will be celebrating his 50th birthday (born day). He is so excited about turning 50 and even more thrilled about his upcoming party, celebrating it with loved ones. I am so happy for him, and feel very blessed to have him for a brother and I thank God for blessing me with him. It always amazes me how much we have in common, even though we are years apart.
